How often to paint exterior of beach houses
For beach properties that are within a few blocks of the beach, how often are you having to repaint the exterior of your house? I’m trying to have some idea to calculate for reserve capex needs. Thanks for any feedback.

So here in the NW on the Pacific ocean, many places are raw cedar that is allowed to weather. They get that silvery grey look and they seem to just endure.
Vinyl shouldn't need painting and most paint won't stick long term anyways. Most likely you will have to deal with fading and weathering of the vinyl itself.
If you have a beach front cottage that has full frontal to the ocean, every 5 years doesn't seem unreasonable to me.
Here are a couple of sites that have decent info
