Have you ever given bad news to your STR tenants?
Two times I had to notify them of a death of a co worker.
A third time I let a house with 8 guys in it know they were getting layed off from work that day. They were working night shift, and wake up around 5:30 pm. The day shift people called me around 4:30 pm and said everyone was getting layed off that day. So I refunded their unused rent. I went to the night shift house around 5:30 with cash refunds and one of the foreman got super angry. He got on his phone and I guess he called the project manager and wanted to know why his landlord is the one telling him he is getting layed off.
What bad news have you given your tenants?

My bad news is usually more like “sorry we don’t have the playboy channel”
