Termite detection in old investment home

Hello, I am looking at investment properties in Florida. Many and nicely renovated but old homes (1960s). In a previous Florida home I had termite issues and they seem to be hard to detect in an inspection.

Any ideas/ advice/ things to look for when purchasing a home like this in regards to termites or anything else (plumbing?)
