Combining 2 beds into 1?

I've got a husband and wife that have reserved a place.  They'll be here in 10 days.  He's 62 and she's 55.  He's a travelling project manager for a construction company doing work here.  They are not on vacation.  They probably live on the road 8+ months out of the year.

Problem is that the only place I have available for them just has a full and twin bed.  Full is the next size smaller than a queen.  Twin is the next smaller size than a full.  2 people can't sleep on a full.

What if I put the twin right up against the full and shimmed up the legs so that the top of the mattresses are the same height, and put a king size comforter on top along with 3 pillows?
