To rent to own or not?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Our Fernandina Beach short term rental has had a last minute booking and the neighbor told the guests that they shouldn't be here, go back to where ever they came from and that the other neighbors feel the same. The guest who is a doctor incidentally, felt "threatened".

I apologized profusely but now what?  Since all my bookings in March-April have cancelled with a full refund,  I was thinking of a Monthly, short term. How do I handle this neighbor and his hood.

Sandy

3 showings in a week doesn’t sound bad to me. I might only get 5-6 at an open house. You’re on the wrong forum though. This is for short term rental.

I would not rent to own. My god it’s been one week of this and we’re already resorting to special terms? Just chill :)

So even if your neigbors have no right to say this, this will likely not help your chance of getting a 5 star review from this stay.

If you could book offline for now you wouldn't have to worry about a bad review due to your neigbors.

You get bad reviews now it will hurt you when things return to normal.

You may just have to wait this out a few months.

There are some things that I've done to people that gave me problems that I would not put public on the internet.  The problems they gave me were not in proportion to whatever they perceived I was to blame for.  2 people ended up in jail, I'm not one of them.
