If you have an air bnb unit you should consider listing it in furnishedfinder.com this website specializes in renting to travel nurses. The nurses are usually in a 90 day contracts. You will get higher rent than typical long term rent, you don’t have to store your furniture, you will be helping health care workers. If your unit doesn’t have laundry you may want to consider offering them access to your laundry room if you have one. This is a very stressful time for them. I recommend screening them as you would a normal tenant I just don’t have them fill out past addresses and why they moved they moved for work! I do ask how long they have been with there agency and I do ask for a good emergency contact and verify that just in case. This model has worked well for me and these last two weeks are the most inquiries I’ve ever received.

If you have a small studio or one bedroom unit that you have had a tough time renting this may be a great opportunity for you. Put in a decent bed some thrift store furniture and plates and dishes. New Sheets towels and shower curtains and it’s move in ready. I would think a small studio or one bedroom could be furnished for 1000$. Less if your really frugal and or if you already have unused furniture.

Mods please feel free to move this to where ever is best. I quickly wrote it from my phone after listening to this weeks money podcast. I couldn’t figure out how to pin Scott or Mindy.
