Beyond Pricing Showing Cancellations that VRBO is not
Morning All!
In the first week of being listed all of our reservations have come from AirBnb. This morning I looked up my billing for beyond pricing and it actually showed two instances where people tried to book my condo, but the reservation was immediately canceled (they even had reservation numbers). In both cases the condo was either already booked on airbnb, or they were booking for less than our minimum nights. Is it typical for VRBO to not let you know about these cases? Mostly I just dont want our condo to look like it is constantly cancelling people and killing our rating but on the Ranking metrics so far we still show 0 cancellations.

I have never heard of this.
Look on Vrbo ranking page and see if it shows you have any cancellations.

Hi @Karl McGarvey, I haven't seen this either. Like @John Underwood said, take a look at your rankings page to see if they are listed and get on the phone. The customer service folks might have some answers.
@Michael Baum
Looked Deeper and sure enough on vrbo I have two cancellations in my reservations section. One cancelled because I had the unit blocked off for maintenance after we closed on it, and the second was a night stay while we have a two night min requirement. Both had reservation numbers but neither were shown anywhere, nor was I given any notification. It also doesn’t show up under my performance metrics, only in my cancelled area of reservations.

Ok @Karl McGarvey, give the customer service line a call and find out if it is impacting your ratings and status. It sounds like it isn't, but you never know.
I assume you have autobook turned on?
@Michael Baum I do. Which is why I assume the bookings went through but were instantly cancelled.

@Karl McGarvey, Ok, I don't use the autobook. I vet each guest so I haven't seen what happened with your bookings.
It is weird that they were able to book even though the time was blocked.
@Michael Baum after talking to customer service it appears they were manual bookings and cancels. Not sure if that means I did it on accident or what, but it doesn’t count against me. Phew

@Karl McGarvey Great! Yes, that usually means the guest cancels the booking. They probably didn't notice the dates. Not sure why they were able to actually book it, but at least those don't count. Good to hear!
I’ve also had a couple of weird Vrbo booking situations for my cabin. I had one booking that never showed up on my Vrbo dashboard, but was blocking dates on my Airbnb shared calendar and iCal. I called customer service multiple times to try to figure out what was going on and no one could ever help me. On the day the booking was supposed to start no one ever showed up, but about a week later I got a 5 star review from someone I never had a reservation for. So weird...
About 2 weeks ago I had a instant book from Vrbo that went across dates that had long been blocked by an Airbnb reservation. I called Vrbo and they informed me that it was a known glitch on their end and they would cancel the reservation. Of course, they left it up to me to communicate with the guest to let them know what was going on.
@Reagen Natho so you got a 5 Star review, but did you get paid? Haha
@Karl McGarvey lol, I wish! I’m fairly new, with not very many reviews in Vrbo, so I was happy with the 5 stars!
@Reagen Natho we are the same, first renters are in right now until Thurs
I added a couple of properties to VRBO 3 weeks ago. I had four scam week-long inquiries and thought that would be a regular occurrence. But they seem to have gone away.
