When to list a new STR?

Hi all!

In December I closed on my first STR, a lakefront property in Wisconsin. My question is, when do I list it on Airbnb/VRBO etc.? It's currently being renovated, but by the time the renovation is over the prime time to get bookings for the summer will be over. Should we list it now with the pictures we have (flooring done, paint done etc.), or do we wait until it's fully renovated/furnished/staged - which could be a couple of months?

I appreciate any input!!

Thanks,

Jeff

I have learned during my years that listing a property before it is 100% ready leads to stress that is entirely avoidable.

Say things don't go to plan but you have bookings coming up. You will be trying to get it done on time and start taking shortcuts, which will lead to bad reviews.
