Smart Locks for new Airbnb...

I'm planning to convert one of my LTRs to an STR and need your help. What advice would you give me regarding smart locks? I've searched the forums and noticed recommendations for August and Resort locks. I'm interested in learning more about locks that auto-issue codes. Also, does anyone use YourPorter and a particular brand of smart lock to automatically send a unique code to each guest? The upfront cost is not as important as a reliable system that integrates well with automation. :-)

Hi @Brady Beshear @Chase Hoover. I am using the Schlage Smart Connect system. It is a Z Wave lock and runs on some AA batteries. You would need to put in a home automation system like what I have which is the Wink 2 hub. It is very easy to setup and gives you a bunch of options on other smart devices like plugs, thermostats, water sensors etc. The list is long.

The Smart Connect unit allows me to unlock/lock remotely as well as set alarms for entry, change codes on the fly as needed for guests and the batteries last me about a year. I use Duracell Pro series.

It doesn't have any kind of link to other management tools like auto setting codes for guests via other apps. I haven't really looked into that so it might have some options, but I am unaware. It is reliable and easy to use. I can manage it with the Wink App or Schlage's app.
