Cleaning Service / On-Call Handyman (Miami)
Hi,
Does anyone use a cleaning service / on-call handyman service in the Miami area?
Regarding the cleaning service; does that also include changing bed sheets, laundry for towels/linens to get ready for next guests, etc?
Looking in the Miami area, but just curious to what other people do for their own STR properties.
Thank you!

My cleaning service completely cleans house and gets it ready for next guests. This includes changing sheets and making beds.

Hey @Dennis Gallof, speaking generally about cleaning, yes it should include a full linen change across the board.
It should be the same pretty much everywhere. Now it could be that some cleaning companies provide the linens for you, or they do the change over and take the used linens with them to launder. It will all depend.
At our home, we have 4 sets of bedding for each bed and just over 24 bath towels for 10 guests. They are laundered on site. The towels are always done first as we don't have a ton of those. If for some reason the house is a real mess, the cleaner doesn't need to wash the sheets as we have enough for 4 full turnovers. I have hampers for storing them until they can be washed when there is an extra day between guests.

My housecleaner does it for free...and I get to sleep with her.
Thanks for all the replies!
Ok, so I guess it's good to have a couple different sets of linens/towels/etc. this way they can wash the used ones while putting on fresh ones.
How did you go about finding a cleaning service / on-call handyman in your area?
I live out of state of where my STR will be in, and I'm installing keypad entry for the door but those things run on batteries so I wouldn't be able to go there and change them so it would be good to have an on-call handyman that would be able to do this. Lol.

I use the Schlage Smart Connect lock and it is quite frugal with battery life. I change them once a year.
For a cleaner, I have very few choices and just got lucky as we are pretty far from town.
You should just use the Google machine and see what you come up with in the area. Get references and call em.
Just wondering, for your cleaning services; do they also supply toilet paper, paper towels, soap if there is a shortage? Or is that up for the guests to purchase on their own?
Thank you!
