Who does their own carpet shampooing at their STR?

A Bissel shampooer from WalMart is what I use.  I quit buying the high priced shampoos and now I just buy Fabuloso and Totally Awesome cleaning solution.  They are both general purpose cleaners.  My main carpet stains are crude oil and beer.  Share your story.

I pay a professional cleaning company to clean our bedroom carpets in the fall. We have hardwood floors throughout the rest of the house.

I have to shampoo my carpets after every 3rd or 4th rental.  So basically once every 2 or 3 months.  Some of my better tenants ask to borrow the shampoer and they do it themselves before they leave.

I use the Hoover steam vac, never heard of using fabulosa. Is it specifically for carpet cleaners or just the general cleaning solution? I use it for carpets and tile. My main stains are traffic patterns and occasional pet accident. I love my steam vac, wouldn't live without it.

I use a Bissel once a year like @John Underwood. We have mostly laminate and vinyl. Only carpet is the stairs and the 2 queen bedrooms.

I use a Bissell Spot Bot to hands free deep stains in carpets while I'm scrubbing something the kitchen. Then use a pro for houses with more carpet.
