Any recommendations for smoking detectors?

Hello,

We don't currently have a STR, but posting here because many STR use these kinds of devices. Smoking is definitely happening in a unit (leased rental unit, inherited tenants). Regular smoke detector does not pick up the smoke. Has anyone used either the Triton or Sentry detectors? Learned of these from quick search results. Wondering if they are as effective as the website indicates and if they are worth the purchase and ongoing costs? Looking for something to detect Cigarettes, Vaping, Marijuana, Hookah, etc. Open to any other recommendations too.

Thanks for reading!

I've never had any issues in 10 years so I just use the basic ones

    Hey Jerry

We do not use this in all of our units, but have had some clients insist on them over the years.  We did use Minut, which does detect tobacco and now marijuana.  It had caught some people.  I would look them up - I have no input on Sentry/Triton.  Best of luck!
