Thanks @Henry Lazerow, that is basically what we do in the city.  Asking about the SW suburbs specifically, in the land of long sidewalks and big actual parking lots.

Hello, Wondering if anyone knows of a good company in the SW suburbs for snow removal still taking on properties?  Used PSI last year, they did a bad job, the snow wasn't even bad last year and with several attempts asking them to do better within the terms of the contract, they still sucked.  It seems like PSI has grown, a couple landscape companies that way either sold or partnered with PSI because these landscape companies no longer do snow removal and refer people to PSI.

Hello,

We don't currently have a STR, but posting here because many STR use these kinds of devices. Smoking is definitely happening in a unit (leased rental unit, inherited tenants). Regular smoke detector does not pick up the smoke. Has anyone used either the Triton or Sentry detectors? Learned of these from quick search results. Wondering if they are as effective as the website indicates and if they are worth the purchase and ongoing costs? Looking for something to detect Cigarettes, Vaping, Marijuana, Hookah, etc. Open to any other recommendations too.

Thank you for the suggestions @Nathan Gesner and @Shannon Mogilinski. I'm going to post in STR forums. I'm really looking to see in anyone has used these types of detectors and their success or lack of with them.

@Nathan Gesner  The plan is to absolutely terminate the lease, renewal isn't for 5 months.  Looking for way to document 'evidence' since they are insisting they don't smoke in the unit.  Eviction in this county would not happen in the winter.

Hello,

Inherited a tenant and for sure smoking is happening in the unit.  Regular smoke detector does not pick up the smoke.  Has anyone used either the Triton or Sentry detectors?  Learned of these from quick search results.  Wondering if they are as effective as the website indicates?  Looking for something to detect Cigarettes, Vaping, Marijuana, Hookah, etc.  Open to any other recommendations too.

Be careful if the heat runs.  If they are in the exhaust vent, you know the vent that that removes the carbon monoxide, they may not be able to get out on their own.
