Help finding STR

Posted

Hello, I've been searching for rental properties on zillow and Facebook marketplace for months now for decent properties with landlords willing to rent their property out and have been getting nothing but quick No from Realtors, and PMG's. How are you inquiring for your STR's? Do you do it on your own or do you have anyone search for you and you pay finder fee. I see people having numerous STRs but I can't get 1 so something I'm not understanding.

Quote from @Jesse Turner:

Hi @Kimberly Arington, I respect the grind.

My opinion is that rental arbitrage (the strategy that you are pursuing) is less effective today than it was just a couple of years ago. If you find a market where the numbers pencil out for you, more power to you!

However, I might suggest putting that same effort into wholesaling until you save up enough to do your own investing.

There may be others on this platform who still swear by arbitrage, so I'll leave that advice to them. You may want to look for social media groups that specialize in arbitrage and see how things are going for them. I would ask them openly if aribtraging is easier or more difficult than it was 2 years ago.

Best of luck!

I agree! Arbitrage is not a great strategy.  As Jessie mentioned you should try wholesaling to build up the cash for your first investment property.

Always ask for seller financing and this might be something you could keep for yourself as a rental.
