Internet for Many MTR/STR next to each other

So I purchase apartment buildings and operate them as MTR or STR. Until now I've been using one regular modem in the middle of the 3-plex or 4-plex.

I just closed on 20 units in two buildings and have no idea how to set up the wifi.

There's got to be a better option than multiple modems and routers.

I've also had issues with tenants using the wifi to log into another unit's smart TV on accident.

What Wifi are hotels using? Does anyone have insight?

Hey @Matthew Masoud. So this gets into a more complex area than most realize. Providing the internet shouldn't be an issue.

If you have a decent fat pipe available, like at least 1 gig speed, you can use a single connection.

Spreading it out across the whole building will also be pretty easy. What you want is a base unit with a bunch of repeaters/access points in each unit. Depending on what you choose for the access point you might get away with one for every 3 units. The layout will determine.

The biggest issue is setting it all up where they are secure from one another. Setting up separate SSID's with multiple VLANs can provide decent security.

Really this is a very complex topic. You need to do some research if you are DIY but you can also hire this out to be sure.
