HOW DO YOU LOCATE STR APARTMENT OWNERS IN YOUR CITY?

FR W.
Posted

Hi! Looking to get into STR in the Houston area. Although I do want to STR residential properties, I also want to get into Airbnb arbitrage, so am wondering how would I go about locating apartment owners to find out if I can maybe turn them on to the idea?

Thanks for any assistance you might have to offer!

I guess you call them on the phone. Get a hold of the management company and ask.

I will say that it can be a tough sell. A large complex won't be interested. You will have to find a smaller one. Even then the risk is pretty high for an owner.

First thing you should do is make sure it is legal to do STRs in the area that you find. Call the city and see if they have a map of STR areas.
