Hi,

My tenants put fences during long weekend and now asking for reimbursement.

I didn’t know that they put fences.

What should I do?

Thanks

Sam

@Samarth Patel - I agree with above, but I would also encourage you to take a look at how you manage tenants. Mananging tenants is similar to managing employees - you are responsible for their training. If they do something wrong, it is always the responsibility of their manager.

How could it come to a situation where they put up a fence without you knowing about it? Modification and damages is one of the top items we discuss at the move in briefing. We get a lot of tenants we have to re-train, because they have been working with bad ladlords - for example they don't report issues, because their landlord got mad every time they reported something. We want to know and we always thank them first when they call in with something.
