How should I go about asking if the clause in a home contract should be used as a rental?

@Armani Emon not sure what you mean but if you are buying a house with a HOA there might be rental restrictions. Most home's that you buy do not need a separate clause to use as a rental

The HOA docs. Some municipalities have also passed legislation not allowing short term rentals etc. Not knowing where you are looking or any further information is sort of making us fly blind. There is not a "blanket answer" across the country/globe.

Refer HOA docs I think
