Decrease rent by $50 for 2 year lease?

We have a new family we have approved who appear to be excellent tenants. They have asked if we would be willing to decrease rent by $50 per month if they signed a 2 year lease. Is this worth it? This is our first long-term tenant so we are figuring all this out as we go.

Why would you do that?  Assuming you would have potentially raised the rent in year two, this would not only put you $50/month behind from the beginning, but also $100 behind in the second year.
