Finding out how much rent Section 8 is paying

We are looking into a property in which the description on MLS states:

"Great section 8 tenant, lease is up July 2019, but tenant would like to stay - "

Is there a way to find out what they are making on rent monthly? Is it an appropriate question to ask the seller?

Thanks

Janine

@Janine Kelbach ask the listing agent. It is very appropriate and an essential part of your due diligence. I wouldnt buy the property without knowing that info
