Finding texas law regarding tree conflict with neighbor
We have trees on the side of the back yard in one of our rental home, it happened the neighbor notified us that the branches hung over to their roof and demand us to take care of it. So we acted quickly and took care of it, but the neighbor complained that we had to pay the damage from the tree rubbing caused by our tree. I tried to find any site of law but couldn't find it, are we responsible for this ?

This sort of happened to me when a broken limb fell and crushed my shed last year. My neighbors tree limb broke and fell onto my property. The way it was explained to me is as follows. If the tree is on your property and the tree's limbs hang over the property line, it is not your responsibility to cut them as you would be crossing a property line. Your neighbor is allowed/responsible to trim the tree back to the property line. If your tree is in good health, you have no knowledge that it was unhealthy, and it damages an adjacent property; then it is not your issue. I would contact an attorney to double check as I was told this by an Arborist in Austin.
