Writing up the Lease Agreement
Hey Guys,
I am (finally) closing on a duplex at the end of this month and I need to get a lease agreement written up.
I want a SOLID lease agreement that will cover my rear end if anything were to happen.
I am house hacking this property so I'm not sure if that will change the agreement?
Who should I talk to? And how much does it normally cost?
Also, what are some addendum's that you put in your own lease agreement?
Thanks guys for any help!

Get an estoppel agreement with the current tenants. If there is no written lease, then it is verbal. The estoppel puts down that verbiage into something written. This should be part of your buying process. That will be the thing that keeps you safe from the, "I don't have to leave, this was a lease for $1/month until my Emotional Support Parrot dies of old age."
