Cats

What's going on everyone? So my dilemma is that a past tenant of mine who recently moved out to an apartment across the street owns a cat that she had living in my apartment for the past 11 years. My lease blantaly says "no cats or pets" however because it didn't seem to cause any issue I let it slide. Now that she lives across the street and for some reason can't seem to keep the cat under control, the cat is constantly coming to my property. It's peeing & pooping everywhere and has been slithering inside whenever I'm walking in and out of the apartment. I asked her to do something about the cat and she refuses to get in touch with me. What should I do about this? Not trying to do anything illegal

@Chris Moskal

You need to check with your local animal control officer. Unfortunately cats are not typically registered like dogs and they don't have the same regulations for keeping cats on leashes. She isn't your tenant anymore so there isn't anything you can really do in my opinion.  If the cat goes to the bathroom on your property put it in a bag and leave it on top of her car.
