What do you drive to your rental properties?
I drive a very old sedan. Most of my tenants drive nicer cars than I do. Now that I am considering purchasing a new(er) car that probably will be nicer than theirs, I am wondering whether to keep the old one to commute to rental properties or sell it. I heard and it makes sense that it's better to avoid driving a flashy car to rental properties, otherwise tenants may feel they are the ones who are paying for landlord's fancy car, therefore feeling less obligated to pay rent on time etc. It's better to appear broke! So my question to my fellow landlords, what do you think should be done here? If you drive a nice car, do you maintain another not-so-nice one for rental properties? I would love to hear your take on this. Thanks.

There's no way I'm driving to my rentals. I live in Canada. My rentals are in AZ and TN. I fly to my rental properties.
Balance coming off as dependable, stable and not frivolous. A clean, stock pickup truck works here in the South with bankers, contractors and residents.
@Kazi R.
Here I am thinking I'm the only one who thinks about something like this and BP makes me feel right at home.
I bought a truck out of utility in 2015 and am going to drive that into the ground. When I do get a newer vehicle I will most likely keep that as my utility vehicle/work(PM) truck. Right now it's old enough to not be pretentious but not so old it's projects carelessness to my tenants.
In the same vain, I legitimately have a uniform I wear which consists of an old sweatshirt and jeans in the winter or an old plain t-shirts and shorts in the summer.
I’m getting the new Tesla truck in 2022. Until then my faithful 07 F150 bought it from the city of Austin
@Eric M. Reminds me of the SNL sketch! “I drive a dodge stratus!!!!” Lol

I didn't even know, that tesla is going to manufacture a truck...saw it now on their homepage...looks like those military cyber vehicles...very futuristic indeed. With the trimotor you can go to the drag races and challenge a Porsche easily :D Which motor type did you order?
