Hello!

I'm interested to rent out my property. I was considering section 8, but not sure if that is such a great idea. Friends and family advice me not to do it. But they are not professionals.

Any tips, tricks or advice that anyone can give me is appreciated.

My property is located in Baltimore, Lakeland.

The key to Section 8 is in your screening. A lot of people think that Section 8 screens the tenant for you but they do not! Screen them just as you would anyone else and consider there Section 8 Voucher as a portion of their income. Some are good people and like non Section 8, some are not good people.

The program itself will treat you well.
