Landlord insurance carriers, any suggestions?

I own and rent 2 dozen single family homes (near Chicago). Our current landlord insurance carrier is State Farm. I'm looking for alternative carriers but I can't find a good one. Allstate or Farmers max out the number of homes they will insure (3-5 max). Ideally, I'm looking for a carrier that will offer a group policy on the entire portfolio instead of purchasing a policy on each home.
Any suggestions or contacts in the area?

@Mike Salace

Have you reached out to any independent insurance agents? I would also suggest speaking to other landlords in your area to see who they use (agent and carrier). Years back I had some older rentals and they were hard to insure. I created a list of independent agents in my area and spoke to them; keeping track of what carriers they spoke with. Different agents have different offerings and it is difficult to see what they can offer without speaking to them.
