Post: Landlord insurance carriers, any suggestions?

I own and rent 2 dozen single family homes (near Chicago). Our current landlord insurance carrier is State Farm. I'm looking for alternative carriers but I can't find a good one. Allstate or Farmers max out the number of homes they will insure (3-5 max). Ideally, I'm looking for a carrier that will offer a group policy on the entire portfolio instead of purchasing a policy on each home.
Any suggestions or contacts in the area?

@Ash Patel, I could agree more with this statement!

"These large systems are building like nobody's business and at some point, they are going to have to come to terms with their RE assets."

Its really interested since most hospital are starting to get it. You don't see many of these listings on Loopnet, but I do see hospital systems posting on classified medical societies and other pages. Clineeds has several listings also that are from hospital systems, directly marketing to doctors.  It'll be very interesting to see how ACA ?repeal changes this landscape.

I just got my real-estate license in NY, setting up shop in NYC. I have tons of friends who are physicians or dentists so I'd like to create a niche healthcare practice (that's the goal at least).

Its a tough market. Supply is limited since healthcare commercial spaces have different "codes", smaller pool of clients - who are sometimes very tough to work with.

Couple of question. Ways to advertise listings, drive sales? I've been posting on classified listing websites (Loopnet, craigslist, and classified listings pages of New York Medical Society, etc) but this is GETTING EXPENSIVE.  I have listings on a website called - Clineeds - healthcare real-estate focused listings; Nice, cause its free and I can network with other docs looking for space very quickly. Thinking about advertising in weekly NYC medical journals, etc? Any thoughts or advice? Sorry, I realize not a simple question to answer.

Post: Is a getting your MBA worth it?

I do believe that where you get the MBA from is more valuable than whether you get it or not. Realistically, most people who do an MBA after having an established career are either looking to enter a new career path or upward mobility (which sometimes requires a certification such as an MBA or business certification). There's a huge difference between an online MBA and a Chicago Booth MBA.

Also MBA's have a huge network of alumni. You're also paying for access to that network.
