Are there tax benefits to having my own handyman llc?

Mark C.

I want to get into real estate investing across multiple states.  I also have my own side hustle handyman business (inactive I am not doing any work).  Question: I was planning on closing the business.  However would there be any advantages to keeping it open as a part of my real estate ventures.  For example, I could DIY things and record it being done for taxes through my handyman business.

@Mark C.

LLCs create absolutely no tax benefits. Your taxes are the same whether you're doing business with or without an LLC.

Also, your own labor, as in doing work for your own projects is not deductible, with or without LLCs.
