Finding Funding I like to call it F&F

I'm a newbie from NYC. I've a lot over the past year about REI except, how to find funding. Where are these private lenders that I hear so much about. I'm gearing up to acquire my 1st multi-family property. I plan to use an owner/occupant mortgage or a 203k FHA loan. But I don't want to stop there. I would like to get private funding to continue to making deals. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

For the purposes of BiggerPockets, Private Lenders are people you already know. Or people who know the people you already know. Like your Uncle Larry. Or your Uncle Larry's boss, John.

These people have money to invest, and they believe in you. There is little to no "qualifying" for these loans.

The easiest way to find them is to tell everyone what you do. Talk about it, and then ask open ended questions like "Do you know anyone who is looking to invest in real estate?" You aren't asking THEM for money, but if they have some, they may invest with you.

Real estate is all about relationships. Talk to everyone you know about what you do. You might be surprised at who secretly has money to invest in you.
