NJ vs. PA tenant laws
Hello BP Community,
Looking at potential rental property investment in NJ or PA. My understanding is that laws are more tenant friendly in NJ vs PA. Is that the case ?
Any guidance is appreciated.
Thanks,
Adam

Laws in New Jersey are significantly more tenant-friendly, we exited NJ over a decade ago and would never consider going back. Our last property was in Flemington and that has fallen by 30-40% in value since we sold it due to the increasing tax burden. As a realtor I talk to homeowners all the time who live in PA but commute to NJ because they don't want to deal with NJ property taxes, which will only worsen as the state & municipalities circle the drain with their debt & pension obligations.
