Teaching my kid about real estate
I've finally found something that might resonate well with my 7 year old daughter; aside from reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad to her every night :) This cartoon network clip is a must!
What small steps are you taking to teach your children about real estate?

I have a 7 year old daughter. I play children's Monopoly with her, and I also play Rich Dad's Cashflow for Kids game (now that it isn't retardedly high price). She knows all about assets and liabilities. I have her help pick up garbage around the 3-unit we owner-occupy and talk to her about houses in the neighborhood as we go for walks. I even take her to one of the early-morning investor meetups in the area. She LOVES it because it is a special trip that Mommy doesn't get invited to even though she has to wake up hours early. The only rule is that she must remember something that was discussed or she cannot come back with me.
The other day, she spent a few hours working on a mental puzzle game thing. She beat the entire thing. When she was done, I had her come over and I gave her some money to put into her spending jar (she has a spending, saving, and charity jar that her money divides into) and told her it is because she was a brilliant entrepreneur. I told her entrepreneurs solve problems and she was well on her way. Wow, was she proud :) And quite honestly, so am I!
There are a million little ways to plant the seeds. I let the school handle teaching her to be an employee, and I let our lives demonstrate that entrepreneurship and investing are completely viable options as well.
