Would anyone want to share how they found/stumbled upon their niche in REI? I would like to hear your stories and what it took to adjust or pivot from your initial real estate investing plan if any.

You have to try different things and then you will find out what you are really good at.  Personally, I started out digging out a few deals a year, rehabbing them myself and selling on the retail market. It kind of sucked to be honest.  Yeah, I made money but it took forever, lots of capital was tied up, etc.

Wholesaling and wholetailing worked out great for me.  Did over 50k made tons of money.  Still do a handful a year but I am heavy into rentals now.

Get your hand in multiple pots and you'll evolve to what works best for you.
