The importance of posting on BP (MUST READ FOR NEWBIES)

Over the last year, I've been saving up money for my first deal, and have yet to do one. When I first started on the site I felt that I had nothing to offer, yet. After reading the forums and listening to almost every podcast, I started posting and answering people's questions both about my market, and based on other people's experience. Because of this, and posting over 500 times now, I've had dozens of people reach out to me, to ask if I'm interested in deals, on 10+ email lists for meetups, and potential partnerships. And I've met a bunch of people already through the site. All of a sudden, deals start coming to you once you have those relationships. Even if you're a newbie, learn and post in the forums and the relationships will start blossoming, which turns into deals, which turns into profits. Jump in and do it.

@Vincent Crane

Yes, you made some excellent points and I can attest to the fact that because of my interactions on the site, there have been a lot of "sidebar" communications with fellow BPers as you have alluded to.

So, the bottom line is that the community thrives on these interactions and the more participations there are, then, the more vibrant the community becomes.

Almost everyone is afraid of public speaking and online interaction is no different and often invokes fear. But, after you have done the first speech/post and remain standing, then the fear is gone and you are emboldened to do others.

Good luck on your REI journey and you will be ready for that 1st purchase in 2016!
