Background Check Service Recomendation

Seth Taylor
Posted

What service do landlords use to run background checks on potential tenants? My wife and I are going to be listing our first property for lease this week and need recommendations on the best service to use for background checks.

I use Keycheck.com for background and credit checks. You have the option for the applicants to pay for the checks as well.

@Seth Taylor if you use Zillow to list your house, you should be able to see the background of the people who apply. I am not sure if this still works but it was possible in 2021.

@Seth Taylor I've used rentprep.com for years; I find their system pretty simple and easy to use.

We are about to rent rooms in our first investment property and I am looking at three companies this evening (I actually came here to see if there were other suggestions) Rentredi, MySmartMove, and TurboTenant. I'm going to look at the suggestions above as well, but thought I would share, from one newbie to another. Good luck @Seth Taylor!
