California accessory dwelling unit addition
I've been running the numbers on adding and ADU on to my primary residence. My goal is to add on to my section of the house and have the rental income from the ADU cover the cost of the project. Does anyone have any tips for me on this? I know these ADU's are a fairly new thing.

@Pavan Sandhu , I was discussing short term rentals with someone last night, and the subject of longer-term, short term rentals popped up. Some traveling occupations like nursing need short-term leases - like 3 months or so - and will pay a premium to rent a furnished place for a shorter amount of time. That could help you bypass the short term tenancy laws in CA.
