advice with investing in first multi unit

Maria Makkas
Posted

Hi BP family! I have 2 rental properties so far but I feel it's time to buy a 2 to 4 unit property. Any new areas I should look at? Other investments are in Jacksonville FL but not many multi units available... Any advice will help and be appreciated.

@Maria Makkas Invest in another market? If you have a goal today, and can't find the property to meet that goal in the market, change markets. Much to be learned by investing out of state and it will only enhance your investing skills. I purchased 4 Duplexes in Durham, a 5 unit in Burlington NC, and a 13 unit in Fayetteville NC, all from Phoenix, Arizona.

In general though, change the strategy or change the market. Change the strategy could also mean, change the marketing strategy...

Good luck!
