Extended stay model with multifamily

I’m a newbie who’s diving into multifamily. I recently listened to @alwilliamson on The Michael Blank podcast and liked his model on extended stay vs long term or short term using part or all of a multifamily property. I like the idea of getting around short term taxes and legislation. Also sounds to be lucrative if done properly. Is anyone else doing this or interested in it? Thanks for your thoughts.

@Brian Ciuchta that sounds like an interesting strategy. Just make sure there is no restrictions to the extended stay model in your loan documents. @Holly Williams or @Dan Handford do you know anyone using this strategy?
