Need help with Equity Question
I own 24% of an apartment building with a mortgage on it. I want to cash in my ownership in the building. I need to know what I can ask for for a price to buy me out.
I have no idea how to calculate that number.
Building is worth 625,000 and I own 24%
I am hoping to collect the 150k that is 24% of the total value, but I am sure that it will be more like 24% of whatever the equity is in the building.
Any help or info would be appreciated.

being bought out of a partnership usually comes with some sort of discount...
so yes you would need to also pay your portion of the debt or credit it.
plus expect an early exit discount as well. .that's pretty standard .. unless its friends and family and they want to give you 100% prorata
