where to get preforeclosure lists

Karl G

Posted

I currently live in raleigh, nc and would like some help locating list providers for preforeclosures. I am interested in trying to do short sales and don't have the time to go to the courthouse and lack the funds to pay someone to do it for me. Even a national provider would help. Thanks

Ask your title agent, they can send you information about preforeclosures. Call several to see who can help you with that.

@Karl G - by "preforeclosure", are you referring to tax foreclosures (people who are losing their property due to delinquent property taxes)? If so, there are a few ways to do it (with varying levels of cost and accuracy)... but before I dive into the details, let me know if that's actually what you're looking for.

thanks for both of your replies so quickly. Seth I was actually referring to people who have fallen behind on their mortgage payments. I am hoping to offer short sale as solution. Thanks

Over here in central florida, you can obtain courthouse records via the internet. I cross reference the information with other free public sites to get the information im looking for. Free leads daily!

Do you mean the trustee's sales? Those are in the local papers. We have online papers in Va that bring all of that information together. You could google trustee's sale and your target city. The websites like Zillow, Trulia etc are always out of date. Auction.com has houses for online auction at times as well.

The data from national providers are generally too old to be useful. Of course the real answer is... use Dan Gabrielli's service at epreforeclosures.com http://www.epreforeclosures.com/index.php

But if you don't have any money, just look up defaults in public record if you are operating in Wake county.

Is there any site for Northern California where I can find per-forecloser properties.
