Finding Owners
When you come across a property that is vacant, how do you know who the owner is? Are there any strategies you use to find owners? Or even to find out if a bank owns the property? I have a few houses like this near me that I would love to make offers on, I just don't know how to go about it. Thanks in advance!

Ashlee Fazio - you are located in Ulster County. If all the houses are also is Ulster County, go to the County Clerk site for Ulster and find the Land Records (here it is, https://www.nylandrecords.com/nylr/controller;jsessionid=EF0C45908DB5EA8CAF82954E1C994B85). Use this to search for each property. If you don't find the answers you are looking for using this site, call or go to the Clerks Office to seek help.
