Auction.com in person bidding experiences

Hi. Can people share their experiences, good and bad, with Auction.com auctions that are in person only,  such as in California?  I have read a few posts about the online  bidding process with ghost bidders, etc.  However, there is no online bidding in California, so I was wondering if there were any other things to be aware of.  Thanks.

I'm in North Texas and have purchased several homes through Auction.com being the Trustee.  It has been extremely challenging due to all the new investors and Hedge Funds in Dallas and Tarrant County but there are still deals to be had.  Last year I was able to acquire about 12 properties.  This year I am at 2 but remaining positive.  Here is a pic of us at Tarrant County auction in front of the courthouse steps.
