Self Storage Mouse Problem

Hey BP Community,

Does anyone have any experience dealing with mice in self storage? I had a tenant complaining and asking if I can do something about it. But if I can't get into the unit to put traps, I'm not sure how to handle it. Thanks!

Get a flat nail puller.

A throw down cushion for your knees.

Buy the 5 gallon size red Jaguar buckets of rat poison in small bars.  Don’t use the green bait  Or the packets.

On the side away from the lock lift up and push two pieces totally under the rain guard.  Do this for all units.  Do this in the fall and again in the spring.

Going forward as you clean out put two pieces in back.

Additionally Slide one piece at the back into the units on the right and left.   That’s a total of 4 pieces.

In the fall before it turns cold put a bunch of this all along the fence and grass areas.
.

Burn or reduce all brush piles and grass areas.
