Hello, I signed a seller agreement with a realtor thinking I was listing my property. But due to personal reasons I changed my mind about selling my property. Now the realtor wants money claiming he spent time when the house was never listed or visited by the realtor. Can he sue me for the money? Thanks

Unfortunately in this country anyone can sue anyone for anything. But it costs a lot of time and money to sue someone. How much is he hoping to get in a lawsuit? It will be a lot less than he spends suing you. Getting sued sounds scary, but this would be a very bad investment of his time and money. And a very bad look for him as well. Also when it's all said and done he needs to have a case to get anywhere, meaning even IF he were to sue you he would still have to win. Re-read the agreement you signed, is there anything in there about repercussions of not wanting to sell?
