Hudson Valley NY Real Estate
Hey everyone,
Fairly new to BP and Licensed RE agent for about 5 years now. Also work a full time job and mainly deal with referrals from family and friends. Just wanted to start a post to try and get a discussion going amongst local people to get a feel of how the market is and where it’s going. We all know the boom that’s happening in Beacon right now and I’m curious to see where people think the next one may be? Will it be Poughkeepsie, Peekskill or even Newburgh?
Looking to invest in a property and not sure if I should keep it and rent or flip? Let me hear what worked for you in the area. Thanks!

@Tommy Nastasi it all depends on what your goals are. Mine is to create passive income, as I too am in sales, and have a variable income. I bought 3 SFH's in Hyde Park NY, just north of Poughkeepsie. I'd like the area, price and knew it would be stable workforce housing.
I don't think you can go wrong in any of the three towns you mentioned, although price point wise Peekskill loses easily to Newburgh & Poughkeepsie.
