Philadelphia Rm-1 zoning?

Hi all.

Im looking to buy a duplex that's zoned Rm1 and turn it into a triplex. It has 2600sq of room. Is this something that is possible to do? What steps would I have to take to change it?

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

@Melonie Dickson If your looking to convert a duplex into a triplex, In addition to having the sqft I would  also look at other requirements you may need to legally convert. For Example triplex's need to have a Min Lot width, min rear yard depth and min side yard length. These are going to be some of the things a L&I inspector are going to look for right out the gate when you are looking to convert. But the steps would be to complete the work and then submit the plans and changes to L&I

A good GC or architect could walk you through the process.
