hello I want to invest in real estate however I'm a bit low on cash but have about 16k on my 401k can I take money out to but a property

@Julio Soto most 401k plans allow you to borrow up to 50% of the balance up $50k, whatever is lower. For you, that's only $8k. Otherwise, you can cash out the 401k and pay the penalties for early withdrawal.
