Are RE investors in Los Angeles crazy, stupid or know a secret?

I have been looking around at multi-family investment properties in gentrifying areas of Los Angeles. I received the email below which is representative of feedback I've received from many brokers in this area. Are RE investors in Los Angeles crazy, stupid or do they know a secret about real estate investing that I don't?

I'm willing to make a bet that real estate investors in LA, SD and SF are either know a secret or they are smart individuals, but they're likely both. The crazy and stupid are the ones who think the grass is greener on the other side and get fleeced investing in markets they have no clue about.

Would you rather listen to successful real estate investors who made it in the above market, or would you rather listen to broke *** folks who couldn't figure out how to invest in these expensive but lucrative markets?

If you're serious about investing, consider spend $500 and attend a Symposium putting together once a year by Marcus & Millichap and listen to real estate investors with net worth in the 9 to 10 figures and hopefully you can learn a thing or two about REI.

Riches are in the niches. Good luck.
