When to buy SFR in Las Vegas of Cape Coral, Florida

I recently asked about buying a condo of SFR and it seems the SFR is the way to go. I'm looking for a small house in the range or $100,000 to $150,000. I think that Las Vegas or Floriday are the best places. A little more about my situation. I'm a teacher, but working overseas. I want to return to the U.S. and try to settle down there. Thus, I want to live in a fairly large city with job opportunites. I may only stay for a year or two, then I'll rent the house out. I'll use a management company to help me rent out the house. I think either Vegas or somewhere in Florida will be best. The one place in Florida that has low prices is Cape Coral. I'm also open to other places in Florida. Do you think now is a good time to invest in Vegas or Florida? Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I'll also post in another forum, in which I'll try to find a good agent.
