Hello, this is a general question. Would you need or recommend finding a real estate agent to buy a turnkey direct? There is are several firms that are turn key specialists so I am not sure if I just buy direct from them, or need a real estate agent to be an intermediary. Thank you.

Most of your traditional turnkey companies will just sell to you directly.

If your are looking to use an agent you could have the agent scout the MLS for you. Remember turnkey is really just a marketing term. A house is a house is a house. There is nothing about turnkey properties that makes them more special then a regular house on the MLS. Just make sure your targeting properties that are in good shape.

Most of the time a property that has been occupied by a former owner is in better shape then one that's gone through years of renters. Think about how people drive rental cars vs how they drive their own.
