BP RELO, Blinding Flash Of The Obvious
Yesterday, a young lady told me her brother needs to sell his house as he's moving to Seattle. Besides the house deal, I told her that we have some folks here from that area.
I then began asking myself why investors here aren't developing their own relocation types service????
If you bump into someone moving to an area where a BP member is located why not contact that investor and see what they have or put them to work on finding a deal or rental through their network?
Relocation services (RELO) serve real estate brokerages placing people moving from one area to another.
I'm not suggesting kickbacks or paying illegal referral fees, but it seems an entity could be established allowing investors to join and share in arrangements made. Just a thought.
Thinking a little bigger, you can also get into trades, equity sharing, investors might do 1031 exchanges. Other possibilities may exist.
Just saying, if someone is moving away you can look up your member investors by zip code or area where these folks are moving to. Flip the member a deal!
Any ideas on this? :)

I had ran into a situation when I first started on BP of a sub and his family was relocating to FL. I put a post up about looking for something in the area on BP, but wasn't a plus or pro member so it was taken down. I just wanted a member to have the opportunity to have the deal, and help this good person out. I also really think it is another market that it would be nice to have a section that we could help each other out. With or with out a referral fee. Don't get me wrong, the money for a referral would be great, but any monetary exchange could be discussed with each deal.
My partner and this person did fly there, and Wayne was able to locate an investor, that was able to successfully find them a property. If we would have had the investor contact prior to the trip everything would have just gone a lot smoother and quicker. I'm sure some of that now would be a little easier for me to find someone in the area, but as @Bill Gulley stated a zip code look up in a RELO look up section, could give investors another source to move a property. I would think that the section would have to have some limits to it, because the person wanting to relocate would want to have a firm that would have several available to show, or properties that would definitely be ready with in the time frame needed. Or as suggested a network availability in their area to give the person several properties to chose from, once the investor and buyer were brought together.
By the way the investor Wayne met, motivated him to such a degree of enthusiasm I heard about it for weeks. This investor went from start to an unbelievable level in 2 years, and that has motivated us both to take action, and achieve success. So the trip ended up being a win win any how.
